KEY OBJECTIVES...
As part of the SETA sector, MDI seeks to contribute to the TVET sector vision of skilling the nation, with the purpose of employability. In pursuing this vision, the College seeks to assess its Programme Quality Mix (PQM), particularly as to how well it meets the needs of its stakeholders, namely the students, employers of all sizes, communities, local municipalities etc. In doing this, it will be critical to understanding the needs of the different stakeholders in order to ensure each of the campuses have the appropriate programmes on offer to produce employable graduates. Understanding local municipalities, employers and communities can’t be done in isolation—an understanding of each respective municipality where the campus is based is required.

Our mission at the Open Learning Unit of MDI is to enhance teaching and learning through technology. We strive towards ICT excellence inside and outside the class room. Computer-based and cloud-based learning, contribute to the high performance of our students. Online and distance learning programmes provide increased access to learning opportunities. We embrace technology and innovation as the drivers of the 4th Industrial Revolution in the Higher Education space.
